“These men know how to wrench away! And they do it right.”
“Best guys in the business!”
“So I went to bakers by luck and checking this site and it was a very happy accident indeed! Andy and his dad dan were both great. I have a 235 straight 6 that I wanted to hot rod. Finding anyone to do it was difficult. Finding a place that had a knowledge of these motors and hot rod history was next to impossible. These guys are both. They knew what I was after, had the connections for the correct stuff, had the talent to pull it off and the patience to deal with a customer, me, that has just enough know how to be a pain. They endured countless phone calls and random pop ins. they never failed to answer my questions and in most cases, I learned something. Dan was a great source of info and even shared a story or two from "back in the day". If you need motor work you need to call these guys. 5 stars!”
“Fair business. I will bring more work to this machine shop.”
“I had a mopar 273 with unmarked pistons. Looked factory stock, standard bore. Re-ringed with standard, then just by FEEL Jerome Baker could tell something was off. Turns out they were .025 over; we hypothosize it was a mopar factory rebuild back in the day with some weird unmarked pistons ma mopar had. Bakers made some custom rings to fit! Thanks to the experience and assembly sensitivity at this shop, I am not cranking up a motor with freak .025 over pistons with standard rings on them wondering why it smokes so much! Good job Bakers.”
“Andy and the family are the best in the business, from simple questions & answers to full out big block beast these guys are the best!”
“I was referred to them by a friend of mine. Not the most customer friendly on the phone, but then again I expect a machinist not a receptionist. Took my cylinder head in to get resurfaced, the next day I was called up and given some information about a couple other things I might need, very trustworthy, showed me exactly what was wrong. The work is phenomenal, resurfaced, valve grind, installed my new camshaft and valve seals, also cleaned up the whole head for me and still had the best price in town!”
“These guys handle business! They do great work, at a reasonable price, and get it done in a timely manner. I own a shop nearby and they always come through for me with press/machine work.”
“Bakers rebuilt a 1970 383 for me for a restoration I was doing and their skill set, attention to detail and friendliness could not have been to a higher standard, they will take care of you like family, they have the knowledge to advise you and the equipment to perform any task, will use them again on my next build, absolutely highly recommend, J. W.”
